For my Mother's Day gift my husband and 3 boys took me to Balboa/Newport beach last Saturday for a fun filled day. First we took a ferry ride over to Balboa Island. The boys thought this was pretty neat. They were looking overboard for sharks! We drove around for a little bit checking out the island and then we took the ferry back. Then we rented a family size bicycle and rode along the beach path for an hour. It was fun to check out the houses along the way. We found a playground on the beach while out riding so we stopped to let the boys play for a bit. The bicycle was so much fun, we will definitely do that again! After we were finished riding the bike we walked down the pier to Ruby's for lunch. Wade loved looking off the pier at the waves. After lunch we loaded back in the car and were off to find:
I have heard about this place and my sister-in-law, Anne Marie, had recently taken her family here and loved it. There was a line outside the store just to get in. I didn't care, I knew the cupcakes would be worth the wait. So to make our wait worthwhile we ordered a box of 12 cupcakes. Then we drove to a little spot to eat them. They are so yummy! On our way home we stopped at a fun mall and did some shopping. We all had such a fun day! Thank you Spencer, Chase, Gavin, and Wade for such a thoughtful Mother's Day gift!
