We decided to go to the Jedi Training show at Disneyland. We have never been to it before, but now that the boys are really into Star Wars we figured they would understand it and enjoy it. Chase and Gavin got selected out of the crowd to come up and train to be a Jedi. They were so excited to wear the robe and learn moves with the light saber. So there they were learning all the cute little moves when the music started... you know, the Darth Vador music. Since the boys know Star Wars they too knew it was the Darth Vador music. They told the kids to run to the side. I could see the panic in Chase's eyes. The most real-looking Darth Vador came out on the stage and threatened to bring the kids to the 'dark side'. Then Darth Mol came out too. Spencer and I realized that the kids each had to fight them. We thought for sure Chase would back out willingly. When it got to Chase's turn to go on stage to fight Darth Vador we were so proud (and shocked) that he, with a serious face, walked out on stage and fought Darth Vador. Then Gavin fought Darth Mol like it was no big thing. They got Jedi Training certificates and are so proud of them.
