Grandma Lauritzen's birthday dinner was definitely the highlight of the 4th of July weekend. We got dressed up and had a nice dinner followed by a program that included tributes to grandma, singing, piano and harp performances, and a speech by grandma. Grandma had also invited a few of her close friends from over the years which included our neighbors growing up who babysat us, the Nilsons. Julene was our favorite babysitter growing up, I think she started babysitting us when she was 9. We LOVED her! We haven't seen her in years so it was fun to visit with the Nilsons. We are so greatful for Grandma Lauritzen and the legacy she has passed on to us. She is a wonderful example in all aspects. We love you grandma, happy 90th birthday!

It's fun to see people you haven't seen in a long time. Like you. Are you coming back up here any time soon? Aileen keeps telling me you are. I'm bummed we missed each other when you were here.
