Devastation in Yorba Linda

Many of you are probably aware of the fires that occurred over the weekend in Yorba Linda. Spencer has actually been working in one of the homes in that area for most of this year, he has also done work in a couple other houses in that area. I believe it was 31 homes that burned. Spencer tried all weekend to get ahold of the home owners (who happen to be LDS) where he is currently working and couldn't reach them. He finally got ahold of them last night and come to find out they had been evacuated from their home and the homes all around their house had burned to the ground but their house was spared. The new plants and a few other things outside of their home burned, but not their house. Unfortunately, their bishop's house on their street burned down and all they were able to grab were 3 photos off the wall. Apparently their son had recently returned home from his mission and all of his mission memorabilia was burned in the home. Spencer called me when he got out there this morning and said it looked devastating. Homes were burned completely to the ground. Whatever faith you may belong to, please pray for these families who have lost everything, and so close to the holidays.
