It's official, we finally had our first day on the lake of the summer last Saturday. Chase was invited to Legoland with his friend's family (we won't get into my anxiety issues of that deal) so the rest of us went to the lake for the day. It was a beautiful day to be out on the boat!

We borrowed this wake surfboard from the boat dealership to see if we would like it. Spence was really good, especially for his first time!

Wade kept trying to swing from the rope like it was a whip as he sang the Indiana Jones song (yes he has an obsession).
Ez got to ride commando in the driver's seat and loved it!
Some of my fondest memories growing up were on our family's orange boat. We learned to ski behind that boat with the same method I have used to teach my boys... throw them overboard and ski or die! (okay not that extreme, but you're not gettin back in the boat until you get up so stop yer cryin!). When we were real young we would fight over who got to sit in the very front of the boat. We would curl our little fingers tightly around the front of the boat to hang on and then tell my dad to go really fast! This just takes me back to those days...

Once Spence got the hang of it he was bustin his mad skillz too.
It was a quiet ride home. :)

Looks like a blast. Can't wait to have you up in Utah for a week so that we can see some "mad skills" in person!!
